What is Paprika?
Paprika is for keeping your own recipe collection. Its built-in browser saves recipes from most websites in a tap, and you can type in family recipes too. The meal planner and grocery list work from that collection, so you do the planning; Paprika keeps it organized.

How much does Paprika cost?
Paprika 3 is a one-time purchase on each platform: $4.99 on iPhone and iPad, $29.99 on Mac, and $29.99 on Windows. On Android, the app is a free download limited to 50 recipes without cloud sync, and you unlock the full version with an in-app purchase.
Does Paprika have a free trial?
On Windows there is a trial version you unlock with a license key, and on Android the free version works up to 50 recipes. The Mac App Store does not allow trial versions, and the iOS app is paid up front.
Is Paprika switching to a subscription?
Partly. Paprika 4 entered open beta on September 28, 2026. It is a free, in-place upgrade for Paprika 3 owners, who keep their current features without paying again. After the beta, the new Paprika 4 features will require a subscription. Paprika says pricing is not final but will most likely be an annual fee with a discount for existing users, covering all platforms.
Does Paprika sync between devices?
Yes. Paprika Cloud Sync is included with your purchase with no recurring fee, though you need to buy the app on each platform you use.
Is Paprika or Ultimate Meal Plans better?
They do different jobs. Paprika is a recipe manager: you collect recipes and plan from them. Ultimate Meal Plans plans the week for you on a specific diet and builds the shopping list. If you already have a recipe collection you love, Paprika is the better fit.
