At Ultimate Paleo Guide, it is our mission to be thought leaders in the nutrition space. Since 2012, we have been researching, reading, and sharing the most current information, ideas, and recipes about the paleo diet. Of course, as time passes, we learn more and our views broaden and expand. This is the nature of nutrition education.
Although our expertise is in the paleo diet, we value and appreciate the variety of nutrition approaches across the globe, and advocate heavily for diets based in real foods – with individualized tweaks – because we truly believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach.
Unfortunately, chronic diseases such as heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, and strokes are a leading cause of death in the United States. In many cases, these diseases are preventable with proper diet and lifestyle choices.
We recognize the power of a nutritional approach rooted in whole foods, and how it will be a game-changer for the health, and ultimately the future, of our society. That’s why we want to invest into people who want to lead the way in the health and wellness world.
So, we are excited to announce that we will be offering an bi-annual scholarship for two students pursuing degrees in the nutrition or exercise-science field. These $500 prizes will be awarded to a student in a nutrition, exercise science, or kinesiology program that demonstrates a passion for nutrition, movement, or wellness and shows initiative and leadership qualities inside and out of the classroom.
Each applicant will submit a 800-word essay that discusses the following points:
- what led you to pursue a career in your chosen field
- extracurricular activities that have given you experience in what you want to do
- at least one example of a challenge or adversity you have faced in your pursuit and how you handled it
- at least one impact you would like to have on your chosen field and how you would make it happen.
Students will also have to provide proof of their enrollment in a college or university and their chosen program.

This $500 scholarship will be awarded two times a year to two deserving students who meet all eligibility requirements.
The deadline for the first submission is January 30th, 2021.
The prize will be awarded March 2021.
The deadline for the second submission is July 31, 2021.
The prize will be awarded September 1st.
